Keyword Installs
Keyword Installs is installs where the user first searches a specific term in the store, then finds and installs the app from the results. Stores treat search-driven installs as a relevance signal for that query, so a keyword install campaign aims installs at chosen terms to support the app's rank for them. Campaigns work best when the keyword is relevant, the app already ranks within reach of the top, and the listing converts well enough to keep the rank once the campaign ends. Results aren't guaranteed: competition, store filtering and listing quality all matter. Google Play says it detects and filters installs meant to manipulate placement, which is why ramping volume gradually and choosing realistic targets matters.
