Install Velocity
Install Velocity is the rate at which an app gains installs over a short window. Stores weigh recent momentum, so a burst of installs can lift chart and keyword positions. Sudden, unnatural spikes can be filtered, which is why campaigns ramp volume gradually across days. Velocity helps most when it comes with good retention and conversion.
