Glossary
Metadata
Metadata is the text fields of a store listing: title, subtitle or short description, keyword field (iOS), full description, promotional text, and developer name. Metadata decides which searches an app can rank for at all; installs and engagement then decide how high. Update it with releases (iOS) or anytime (Google Play), and measure each change against rank history before making the next.
