Ratings and Reviews
Ratings and Reviews is users' star ratings and written feedback on a store listing. They strongly affect conversion and are a quality signal to the stores. They must come from genuine users. Both stores prohibit incentivized or fake reviews, and the US FTC's rule on consumer reviews (16 CFR Part 465, effective October 2024) bans buying or selling fake reviews and paying for reviews of a particular sentiment. ASOSurge doesn't sell reviews. The compliant levers are a better product, well-timed in-app review prompts, and responding to reviews.
